Dyros water supplies for injection molds

Kurval has a long cooperation with Dyros, the Danish manufacturer of connectors in all sizes and designs, made of brass and stainless steel. A wide range of products to quickly connect water to your mold. The package consists of various connection options, from a hose barb to Hasco and DME interchangeable connectors. The secret with these products is in the accuracy, which prevents unnecessary leaks. This is precisely where Dyros is very strong.
The choice of material and interchangeability against couplings from common suppliers of standard dies and standardies are two important factors that characterize Dyros products.

Accurate and precise machining is necessary for lasting, trouble-free use of Dyros couplings. The components of the couplings are manufactured on modern precision index turning machines. This guarantees error-free dimensions and surface area.

Dyros couplings and nipples are specially designed for the application in plastic dies but also suitable for all other areas where quick connectors are used such as water, oil and air.

The couplings and nipples are made of brass, the retaining rings, springs and balls of the quick coupling of stainless steel. The O-ring seal is of Viton quality, and can withstand temperatures between -25°C and + 200°C (briefly + 230°C). This Viton O-ring is chemically resistant to mineral oils and greases, most acids, gasoline, methane, propane, ethylene, acetylene, etc.

The connectors are available in straight, angled and angled 45° versions. All couplings can be supplied with and without a check valve. Also, these connectors can be ordered with a red, blue or green ferrule, and with a “Safety-Lock”. The red sleeve stands for hot/hot, the blue sleeve for cool/cold, and the green sleeve is used to indicate that there is NO check valve in the coupling. With the Safety-Lock coupling, twisting a snap ring secures the coupling, making it impossible to disassemble the coupling.

For cooling molded parts, Dyros has developed a clutch battery. The clutch battery provides a quick and safe way to connect coolant hoses to the injection molding machine or extruder. The compact design allows for shorter hoses and mounting closer to the molded parts. The shorter hoses make the work area cleaner, and therefore safer for the operator. It can be used wherever small size, reliability and safety are required. All couplings have check valves that are leak-proof, even at very low pressures. A latch is automatically released when a nipple is pressed against the coupling. This feature allows one-handed operation of the coupling.
