Steel files

In addition to our wide range of diamond files, we naturally also have most of the standard and special steel files in our assortment. Since it all started for us in 1937 precisely with these products, the steel files are a real “primal package” for Kurval. At that time, the steel file was a product with which just about everything had to be worked on. Saws and files were the tools of the day at that time. Of course, this is all different now and steel files are only used to lightly deburr a product or make a minor adjustment.

In molds, light finishing is still sometimes required. This is often done with hand files and especially riffler files. The cap numbers are printed on the files and indicate the tooth spacing and thus the coarseness of the file. These coarsenesses can also be found in our catalog.
