For more than thirty years, Kurval has been supplying polishing, milling and grinding systems from the Japanese manufacturer NSK. Over the years, these systems have undergone significant development. It began with a compact, easy-to-handle motor with carbon brushes and an output of 35 watts. Today, a motor of identical size delivers 140 watts. It operates with a rotating magnetic field and is therefore brushless.
Kurval offers two electrically driven models: the Evolution 410 and the Espert 500. With a slightly larger motor, a drive power of 200 watts and a speed of 50,000 revolutions per minute, the Espert is the most powerful version. The Evolution 410 provides 73 watts and runs at 40,000 revolutions per minute. For both systems, the straight quick-release handpiece can be removed and replaced, for example, by a 90° angled or 45° inclined handpiece, as well as by a Diprofil filing machine.
NSK stands for the highest precision in bearing technology and finishing quality. It is no coincidence that these systems are regarded as the best products available on the market when it comes to precise manual finishing.

In addition to an extensive range of electrically driven products, the Japanese manufacturer NSK also offers a line of air-driven high-speed handpieces with exceptional precision and quality. The range includes handpieces with straight connections, as well as angled and inclined grinding and milling handpieces.
The straight handpieces operate at speeds of up to 60,000 revolutions per minute. Due to their angled gear transmission, the angled handpieces run at lower speeds. All of these handpieces must be supplied with compressed air enriched with oil mist by means of a lubricator. As the motor section operates on a compressed air system, oil mist lubrication is of great importance for these handpieces. Naturally, a clean and dry air supply is recommended.
Various types of Diprofil filing machines can be connected directly to the NSK motors via a threaded connection. The Evolution 410 and Espert 500 feature a different coupling and can be connected using an NSK coupling adapter.
The Swedish brand Diprofil® has been part of our product range since 1952. As the inventor of the hand filing machine, Diprofil stands for quality. In recent years, the range of hand filing machines has been expanded, and the Dipromini is increasingly being used on NSK systems. This aligns with the trend toward using more compact systems instead of drive units based on the traditional hanging motor, with which everything originally began.
In addition to its machine program, Diprofil is unique in producing diamond tools of the highest quality. Many years of experience in galvanically bonding diamond to tools make it possible to machine even difficult materials. This is precisely why Diprofil supplies not only industrial customers, but also the dental sector to a significant extent.
