Blasting is a destructive process that introduces stress into materials. If such stress is undesirable, you must consider the pressure in combination with the chosen blasting medium. There are many possible combinations of solutions.

The blasting machine forms the foundation for effective blasting. Our machines are constructed differently from conventional blasting cabinets. Particularly important are the extraction system, the separation of the blasting media and the abraded material. Contamination of the blasting media can negatively affect the product.

Blasting media

In addition to high-quality blasting systems, Kurval also provides a wide range of blasting media. We offer, among others, ruby, glass bead, and walnut media suitable for various applications and materials. This ensures a complete and efficient blasting process.

Ruby

Ruby blasting media is a very hard and wear-resistant medium used for intensive cleaning and roughening tasks. It is particularly suitable for removing rust, paint, and heavy contamination from metal surfaces. Its high hardness provides a strong blasting effect and a uniform rough surface – ideal as pretreatment before coating, painting, or bonding.

Glass beads and Walnut

Kurval’s glass bead media is used for fine cleaning and surface refinement. It produces a uniform, matte, and slightly glossy finish without damaging the material. Ideal for stainless steel, aluminum, and other delicate metals.

Walnut media is a soft and environmentally friendly blasting medium, suitable for cleaning delicate materials. It is commonly used to remove paint, coatings, or dirt without damaging the surface. Perfect for plastics, wood, and delicate components.
