Rubber-bonded abrasives

These abrasives resemble ceramic grinding wheels, except that the abrasive grain is embedded in a rubber. This creates an appearance that lies somewhere between grinding and polishing. These products are often used for the repair and maintenance of high-quality components, such as aircraft parts and generator components. The product also often provides a good finish and has a low risk of surface defects.

Rubber-bonded grinding points are available in various sizes and shapes. The Cratex® product offers the option of shaping the point as needed: simply dress it to the final shape and you're ready to go. Many aerospace manufacturers even specify this product.
